I had a unique opportunity to work on a number of interesting projects for Baťa, Czech Republic's best known shoe producer and retail store network. My roles ranged from art director to video producer. Young Designers' Challenge is an annual event organised by Czech Republic's arguably most recognisable shoe and fashion accessory brand - Bata. In 2019, I had the pleasure to storyboard, direct and produce the final contestants' profile videos for online promotion. We needed a location that would serve as a toned down backdrop for the students' stories. On top of that, we wanted the contestants to feel comfortable, so there was no better place than one of the ateliers at UMPRUM, the Academy of Arts, Architecture and Design in Prague. The set had a rugged, natural feel to it and only needed minor adjustments to be perfect for our needs.
